19th Century Wall Pocket

19th century Folk Art wall pocket in original old red paint. 

What makes this piece unique is that when closely examined , one can make out the stylized image of a Buffalo's head and the center element of a Texas star.  

 

I have had this in my personal collection for more than 25 years.
