$0.00Price
This is a rare piece of Southern 19th century black Americana.
It depicts a black woman in what appears to be church garb holding a collection bowl.
By the use of a weight inside, every time a coin is inserted into the bowl her head nods affirmatively.
Carved in wood except for the head which is composition. This is piece that shows both a whimsical and sensitive representation.
Possibly unique.
